Gardening aprons - it must be Christmas

I hope the gardening aprons are as popular this year as the last 2.  I love making them.  They are a little fiddly but I love choosing the colour combinations.  I have also made some dog jackets so we will see how these sell on the ETSY shop.  Fingers crossed!

Fabric cards

I've been experimenting with card making.  There is something satisfying in the simplicity of adding a bit of fabric to a card.  I love the robins with their red breasts with the funky twist that they're not traditional colours.  The kissing birds with love heart wings are also a favourite of mine.

Personalised bears

These bears are made from baby clothes for my friends children.  They are a much better way of storing clothes as they can be loved and played with.  Better than keeping them in a bag in the loft, never to be seen again!

Custom order bears

Look at these amazing custom order bears I've made for Christmas this year.  The blue dog is a memory bear made from 2 shirts.  The 2 bears are Christmas print specials and the colourful dog in the middle is made from a child's imagination of their very own special teddy bear.  I love them all.  I think I get a lot of happiness from making these bears and dogs, especially the memory dog as I know he will be loved and treasured forever.

Christmas is coming...

Starting my Christmas preparations - the life of a crafter!  I'm creating as many aprons as possible and then some stocking fillers of the pocket tissue holders and mirrors.  I'm experimenting with the cards this year.  I'll see how they turn out but, hopefully, they will be in the ETSY shop too.

Summer holiday frivolities

I love playing with my sewing projects over the summer holidays.  Just some finishing touches and I'll see if I can put them on my ETSY site in time for Christmas.  I know, I know... it's far to early for that talk but sellers have to be ready well in advance.  Thinking about making some more gardening aprons as they went like hot cakes last year!  Got 4 so far.  They take a bit of doing but I find it's great for keeping my mind busy once I'm back at school and stressing about the small stuff.

Cricut crazy weekend!

If it's stayed still long enough, I seemed to have stuck something to it!  Really enjoyed doing the baby grows for my husband's colleague who is on maternity leave.  They turned out amazingly so I bought some pink iron on vinyl to do a baby girl version and see if they sell in the ETSY shop.  The pencil case is (surprisingly) for Mrs Owen who works in my school.  It was her birthday last week.  As for the Teacher Mode Off bags - I just found that on the free cricut images.  It's brilliant and exactly how I feel when I leave school for the evening, never mind the holidays!  Printed a few for my colleagues.  Will put a bath bomb or something relaxing.  What a great weekend of sewing and printing I've had!

Funky gardening aprons

Making some more of my popular gardening aprons.  These went like hot cakes when I put them in my ETSY shop before Christmas.  I couldn't make them fast enough!!  I do love them though, they are such fun with these funky fabrics.

Ballerina for Ellie

I loved this Simplicity design but thought the dolls looked too amazing for my skills.  I made a dog out of Joe's old Beaver and Cubs jumpers and have been searching for something to make Ellie's old gymnastics outfit into.  Apart from the fabric being a little stretchy and hard to manage, the outcome is pretty good.  It is missing a net tutu and some rosy cheeks but I'm really pleased with it.
