REUSABLE SANITARY TOWELS

I have been investigating no waste products and have decided to start with my sanitary towels and work on from there.  There are lots of patterns out there but I found this one which is easy to follow.  Download the pattern here Reusable sanitary towel template from Little House Living.

1. Cut out 2 of each shape in the desired material and sew them right sides together.  Cut out toweling in the smaller shape (1 layer for pantyliner, 2 layers for light flow, 3 layers for heavy flow etc).

2. Then cut a hole in one side of the material and turn them both right side out.

3. Add the towel inside the pad and put the 2 sides of the pad together (with the cuts sandwiched between the 2 layers).

4. Sew the pads together.  Finish by adding a press-stud on either wing so the pad will click together under the pants.

This is how mine turned out:

POCKET TISSUE HOLDER
My trusty pocket tissue holder design.  I can't tell you how many of these I have made over the years.  They are so simple to make and look beautiful as gifts.  If you choose a funky, modern fabric they look amazing!  Download the hand drawn template here.  Make sure the dimensions stated on the pattern are kept so you may need to increase or decrease the size of the pattern.
